Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The Process Technician is responsible for setting up, starting, monitoring, and troubleshooting manufacturing processes to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent production of quality products.

This role plays a critical part in achieving production, quality, delivery, and cost objectives by maintaining process stability, reducing downtime, and supporting operators and supervisors. Process Technicians are expected to optimize process performance, document activities accurately, and contribute to a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Depending on assignment, Process Technicians may support various areas, including, Liquid Silicone Rubber (LSR) molding, thermoplastic injection molding, or other manufacturing processes.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

Perform mold changes, set up and troubleshoot LSR molding presses.
Prepare and connect pumps, mixers, and feed systems.
Monitor mix ratios, cure times, and temperatures.
Troubleshoot short shots, flash, air entrapment, and cure issues.
Perform material purges and color changes.
Support downstream finishing and post-curing.
Maintain contamination controls.
Complete process logs, setup sheets, and downtime records.
Maintain accurate documentation for traceability.
Identify opportunities to improve quality, cycle time, scrap, and uptime.
Participate in validations, trials, and improvement projects.
Follow all safety procedures.
Maintain organized work areas.

Education/Skills/Experience:

Five years of hands-on experience in LSR
Experience with validated processes
Experience with ISO environment.
Proven process technician experience.
LSR molding and pumping systems
Silicone material handling
Computer skills
Experience and understanding of technical documents
Strong mechanical aptitude
