Overview

Front Line EMS is seeking a Full-Time Paramedic Supervisor

$30.00/HR - $33.00/HR, (full time approximately $81,000-$89,000+ per year) Depending on Experience

Schedule:

Full Time: One (1) 24-hour clinical shift (IFT) and 24+ hours off-shift administration/supervision. Supervisor should plan to have a variable schedule to check-in on all teams. Additional OT may be available.

Summary

The Paramedic Supervisor functions as a member of the transport team, scheduled with an EMT and practices Advanced Life Support (ALS) in a hospital or transport setting. The Supervisor directly supervises 10+ providers, including Paramedics and EMTs.

Paramedic Responsibilities

Continuously monitors and reassesses the patient’s status during transport and with other team members provides therapeutic interventions to maintain patient stability
Incorporates principles of transport physiology and transport safety and clinical assessment during transport
Through the use of SBAR, shares essential information with team members, physicians, and staff from referring hospitals, emergency personnel and other care facilities
Identifies patient needs, establishes priorities and provides appropriate interventions
Collects key information from the physician, medical staff, patient, family, laboratory and other sources
With a partner, determines priorities for safety and patient care.
Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and clinical priorities
Provides assistance with patient ambulation and activity in transporting patients as necessary to include loading and unloading of a patient stretcher in the ambulance.
Provides warm and caring interaction and customer service to client facility staff and patients
Performs other duties as assigned

Supervisor Responsibilities:

Develop weekly shift schedule and approve shift change requests
Review and approve team time sheets weekly
Set and ensure station duties are consistently performed
Ensure calls are responded to promptly and professionally
Perform QA/QI for patient care reports and work with billing to make any corrections necessary for processing
Oversee team performance and provide feedback fostering continuous improvement
Perform ride alongs with each team on a monthly basis
Provide and/or coordinate regular trainings for staff, both impromptu and scheduled
Coordinate with management and HR for any disciplinary or reward efforts
Set the example for professionalism, prompt communication and feedback, dress and appearance, and attitude
Perform/coordinate outreach efforts to clients
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: HS diploma or equivalent
Licenses/Certifications:
EMT-P license for Idaho or REPLICA state.
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
AHA ACLS and PALS preferred
Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 years of EMS experience
Instructor certifications
Previous supervisory experience
