Full Job Description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated HR Recruitment Assistant/Recruiter to support our Human Resources and talent acquisition operations for our Baldwin and Farmingville locations. This is a dynamic role that combines recruitment support with general HR administration and employee follow-up. The ideal candidate brings strong critical thinking and high attention to detail to our team, along with the agility to adapt to shifting department priorities. In this multi-faceted role, you will balance recruitment support with HR administrative processes, ensuring our operations run smoothly.

Talent Acquisition & Recruiting Support

Source, screen, and vet candidates for open positions across retail and operational roles.
Review resumes thoroughly and conduct initial phone screenings, applying sharp evaluation criteria to ensure alignment with job requirements.
Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
Maintain accurate and professional documentation regarding candidate statuses and tracking systems.
Act as a reliable point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the hiring pipeline.

HR Support & Employee Follow-Up

Assist with HR administrative tasks and provide consistent follow-up on employee inquiries.
Coordinate the employee onboarding process, ensuring all new hire paperwork, compliance documentation, and background checks are completed accurately.
Maintain physical and digital employee records, ensuring 100% confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
Support the HR Manager with local employee relations efforts, tracking, and engagement initiatives as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in an HR support, administrative, or recruiting role (Retail or high-volume industry experience is a plus).
Adaptability: High capacity to balance shifting priorities, moving between high-volume recruiting and administrative HR tasks based on department needs.
Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and sharp professional judgment when screening resumes and assessing candidate qualifications.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Spanish.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and familiarity with Applicant
Tracking Systems (ATS) or HRIS platforms.
Logistics: Reliable transportation is required, as the position involves traveling between our Baldwin and Farmingville locations to support both stores.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
