We are located within NASA’s Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, Louisiana.

About The Job

We are seeking a growth-oriented, highly analytical and detail-oriented Program Finance Analyst to join our growing team. The Program Finance Analyst will be a business partner to the Controller, the project management organization, and finance and accounting team. You will monitor and manage project performance across cost, schedule, scope, and resource utilization. You will also analyze data, track progress, forecast outcomes, and provide insights that help project managers and stakeholders make informed decisions.

What Makes This Role Unique

You will work across departments and directly influence program profitability.
You will directly support program managers with monthly program reviews and update ETCs and EACs to senior leadership.
You will be exposed to a wide range of contract types and financial structures.
You will be part of a team shaping financial strategy in a high-stakes industry.
You will help the controller and project management organization optimize the new ERP system and implement detailed time phased project planning in the new ERP system (Epicor).

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Performance Monitoring

Track project schedules, budgets, and resource usage to identify variances.
Monitor project baselines (scope, cost, schedule) and recommend corrective actions when deviations occur.
Conduct research and analysis to identify areas for performance improvement.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

Prepare and maintain reports such as Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), cost reports, and performance dashboards.
Produce progress reports, variance analyses, and presentations for project reviews.
Use tools like Excel, Tableau, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or SQL-based reporting systems.

3. Financial & Budget Control

Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost estimation activities.
Support and assist in the build out of the AOP and regular company financial forecast updates
Support the Monthly Operating Review reporting process to executive level management.
Manage financial resources, invoices, accruals, and subcontractor requisitions.
Assist in earned value management (EVM) activities and ensure compliance with EVMS requirements.

4. Project Planning & Scheduling

Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, including critical path analysis.
Support project planning meetings and mid‑year or annual planning cycles.

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
2+ years of progressive Aerospace and Defense experience in project cost control and project finance.
Solid understanding of GAAP based financial statements, cash flow management, and operational metrics.
Knowledge of indirect cost allocations in a GovCon environment.
Strong communicator, adaptable, curious, relationship builder experience.
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (Epicore preferred).
The ability to identify issues, analyze and interpret data and develop solutions to a variety of moderately complex problems.
Strong attention to detail.
Self-starter with the ability to pivot and successfully adapt in a constantly changing environment.
Location Requirement: This position is located on a federal facility. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and are required to pass a comprehensive background check to meet the security clearance standards necessary for work in this environment.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
