Notre Dame Cristo Rey is a 9-12 Catholic learning community that educates young women and men of limited economic means and educational options to become individuals of faith, purpose, and service. Notre Dame Cristo Rey is part of the largest network of high schools in the country that exclusively serve under-served youth. As a part of the Cristo Rey Network (CRN) and as a member of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur (SNDdeN) school system, Notre Dame Cristo Rey adheres to a set of Mission Effectiveness Standards and the Hallmarks of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur to protect the integrity of the model and articulate the shared mission.

Our school in Methuen is a proven success story, one that provides many opportunities for our students to achieve their dreams. We have undoubtedly seen how our school can be a stabilizing force in the lives of our young scholars. Our students are succeeding! Considering that many of our students have struggled academically before coming to Notre Dame, it is impressive that 100% are accepted to a four-year college or university. We currently have several NDCR graduates studying at some of the nation’s top institutions including MIT, Worcester Polytech, and Boston College.

The overarching goal of NDCR is to equip our young scholars with the skills and knowledge needed to successfully pursue higher education. All students participate in a college preparatory education enhanced by a unique Corporate Work Study program (CWS) where students learn professional work skills while earning income to offset the cost of their high school education. The CWS program is an integral part of the NDCR education. This educational model brings hope to our students and provides them with the tools to succeed now and in the future. Our learning program makes connections for young people between academics and career success. This is what makes school engaging and relevant and motivates students to succeed.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Director of Business Development for the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP) is responsible for driving growth in the number of funded Corporate Work Study positions for the students of NDCR. The growth in positions is driven by increasing the number of jobs in the current CWSP Partner companies and most importantly adding new CWSP partnerships within the regional area.

Primary Goal: Identify and close new paid full-time positions (FTEs) to meet the school’s growing enrollment and financial projections. The number will be defined every year as part of the budget. For the 2026-27 school year, the goal is at least 9 new FTE’s/CWSP jobs.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

· Develop an overall sales strategy and plan including:

o A detailed sales plan and metrics

o Maintain a detailed accounting of all activities in Salesforce; generate reports in Salesforce and Excel to evaluate progress towards sales quota

o Create a weekly report that provides status and actions to drive the goal. The report should identify sales stage, probability, expected close date and specific support required to close.

· Lead the process to drive the Business Development agenda with current and new CWSP Partners:

o Demonstrated ability to close small to large contracts ranging from $11,000 (one student placement) to $38,000 (full team of four students) and up.

o Demonstrated ability to pro-actively network, conduct new business solicitations at school and businesses; generate referrals through current corporate partners, Board members and other networking connections; utilize the President, President Emerita, CWSP Office Manage for prospect meetings

o Increase the awareness of the CWSP among area business leaders by attending local/regional networking events

o Guide prospective Corporate Partners from the point of initial contact to a signed contract and final job description for student placements

o Conduct site visits with new Corporate Partners that you have closed to identify growth opportunities and assist with annual contract renewals

o Develop a list of key references and strong advocates of CWSP, including CWSP Partners who are willing to participate in references and other Business Development activities.

o Participate in events related to CWSP Partners and contribute support as requested; assist Director of Marketing and Communications with events to recruit new Corporate Partners

· Actively team up with CWSP, NDCR staff and CWSP Partner Acquisition Committee:

o Work with CWSP Office Manager to develop a strategy to strengthen and deepen the existing relationships with each of the school's current partners

o Establish and manage volunteer Partner Acquisition Committee to assist with job acquisition

o Collaborate with the Director of Marketing and Communications to develop and maintain sales collateral and share information helpful to marketing initiatives (testimonials, photos, etc.)

o Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the CWSP Office Manager, NDCR President, CWSP staff, CWSP Partner Acquisition Committee and the Cristo Rey Network

o Participate in a monthly review with Senior management and Board Members

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

· Articulate the mission of NDCR with passion and commitment and connect and build meaningful relationships with students and staff. The Director of Business Development cannot sell the program without a deep connection to the people who drive the mission.

· Carefully and intentionally listen and observe all existing processes, procedures and functions in the school to better understand the mission and culture of the organization.

· Be a self-motivated sales professional who enjoys working on a high-performance team.

· Have strong organizational and people skills

· Demonstrate a minimum of five years of Business Development and Sales experience with a proven track record in driving lead generation and closing conceptual sales.

· Demonstrated ability to sell a ‘new approach’ product to multiple levels of an organization from mid-level supervisors to the C-Suite. This includes – identifying unrecognized needs within the prospect, presenting CWSP’s unique value proposition to meet those needs, identifying key decision makers and gaining their buy-in.

· Worked with businesses with philanthropic mission to community service, especially education.

· Have strong written and oral communication skills.

· Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills, possess the ability to work independently and take initiative.

· Work collaboratively with senior level management.

· Be comfortable teaming and driving process from the Board level to all levels of the NDCR community.

· Develop a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of the CWSP.

· Possess a required Bachelor’s Degree and strong computer skills.

· Possess a working knowledge of Salesforce.

SALARY: Range from $75,000 to $95,000. Salary is dependent upon experience.
