Job Summary
The Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all internal and external
resident activities. This includes creating the monthly activity calendar, arranging
outside entertainment, assessing resident preferences and guiding programs to meet
their needs. This position must initiate and maintain effective communication with
Community team members on all appropriate matters.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
First and foremost, be a {Community Name} brand and culture ambassador. It is a
requirement to learn and communicate {Community Name}’s Values, Mission, and
Culture Keys while present in the communities.
General management responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Assess resident interest and activity needs at time of move-in and on an on-going
basis.
2. Complete the Resident Interest Worksheet by meeting with all new residents
within 7 days of their move-in to determine what level of activities the resident is
interested in.
3. Orients all residents to activity program and how to access activities.
4. Develop a monthly calendar of events before the beginning of each month to
stimulate residents in the areas of intellectual, physical, spiritual and social needs.
5. Coordinates and carries out resident activities per the posted monthly activity
calendar; follows schedule as written with minimal change and cancellation;
Promotes all activities within the building in order to improve resident
participation.
6. Arranges outside entertainment resources to come into the community for the
resident’s enjoyment; complies with spending budget on activity supplies and
entertainment.
7. Plan "In Community" seminars or lecture series’ for residents, families and friends;
at least quarterly.
8. Resident outings will be scheduled on the monthly calendar and will include
site-seeing trips, destination locations, and medical trips; Coordinate

transportation for any activity outings and any medical visits with the Health
Services department; Maintain safe driving record and drive the bus safely and
with good judgment.
9. Coordinate with other department managers for special needs, including the
Dining Services department for all food service needs.
10. Participate in the Dining Room Ambassador Program daily.
11. On a monthly basis, holds an event that may be used for marketing efforts, such
as a resident appreciation dinner; Work with the Community Relations
Coordinator and other management staff to organize these events which
includes planning, advertising, set-up and clean-up.
12. Oversee monthly Community newsletter; distribute to all residents, prospects and
employees to keep them informed of activities going on in the Community.
13. Establish and maintain a quality volunteer program.
14. Maintain budget and spend down documentation.
15. Conduct yourself and the business at all times so as not to detract from, or to
reflect adversely on the reputation of the Community.
16. Handle all resident concerns and complaints with finesse and in a caring, polite
and professional manner.
17. Responsible for fostering teamwork with coworkers, showing initiative in
overcoming obstacles, taking actions which assists others beyond job
responsibilities, and having a positive impact on co-workers, residents and visitors.
18. Treat as confidential any information about the customers and personnel of the
Community or their business, products, techniques, methods, systems, price
books, advertising, plans and policies. Employee will not, during their
employment, or at any time thereafter, disclose such information, in whole or in
part, to any person, firm, or corporation for any reason or purpose whatsoever as
stated in the signed confidentiality agreement.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position may supervise other positions depending on the particular community. If
supervising the staff, the position will:

recruiting, hiring, training and retaining appropriate staffing levels to support the
needs of the Community.
21. Participate with Community managers in conducting the new hire orientations.

23. Ensure that self as well as all directly supervised employees report to work in a
safe manner and that potentially hazardous conditions are managed.

Current and valid state drivers license or current and/or valid CDL license as

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
