Overview

The Devices PMO operates as a Program Management Office focused on translating strategy into execution through structured planning, data-driven decision-making, and consistent delivery systems.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will support the design and execution of product development and roadmap planning processes, and program governance systems, helping ensure high-quality execution across Surface programs. This role is ideal for individuals who are building capability in end-to-end program ownership while contributing to broader transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

1. Program Coordination & Execution Support

Support execution of cross-functional programs and roadmap activities
Track milestones, dependencies, and risks across programs
Drive follow-ups to ensure alignment and on-time delivery
Contribute to structured program cadences and reporting

2. Planning Process Support

Assist in building and maintaining planning timelines, inputs, and outputs for roadmap cycles
Help coordinate cross-team inputs (engineering, finance, supply chain, etc.)
Prepare materials for prioritization and review checkpoints

3. Data & Reporting Management

Maintain and update program tracking systems and dashboards
Contribute to improving data completeness and quality across programs
Generate insights and summaries to support decision-making
Help establish and reinforce source-of-truth practices

4. Execution Discipline & Governance

Support adherence to defined processes, standards, and review cadences
Assist with documenting decisions, tracking actions, and maintaining audit readiness
Help ensure clarity on program status, risks, and tradeoffs

5. Tools & Process Improvement

Contribute to adoption of standard tools, templates, and systems across PMO
Support rollout of automation and AI-enabled workflows where applicable
Identify opportunities to simplify processes and reduce manual effort

6. Cross-Team Collaboration

Partner with stakeholders across engineering, product, finance, and partner teams
Communicate program updates and risks clearly to different audiences
Build working relationships and credibility through consistent execution

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
- OR equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Preferred Qualification:

Experience supporting cross-functional programs or projects.
Demonstrated organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to analyze data and communicate insights clearly.
Experience in technology, hardware, or devices environments.
Familiarity with program tracking tools, dashboards, or reporting systems.
Exposure to process improvement or operational.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $160,200 - $261,000 per year.
