Full Job Description

Overview

Nuvexa Pharmacy is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the quality program for its sterile and nonsterile 503A compounding operations. The Quality Manager will be responsible for building, maintaining, and continuously improving Nuvexa’s Quality Management System while providing independent oversight of production, documentation, testing, personnel qualification, equipment, facilities, suppliers, and product release activities. This is a critical leadership position with direct access to the Pharmacist-in-Charge and the authority to stop operations, quarantine materials or preparations, initiate investigations, and escalate quality or patient-safety concerns.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Document Control Functions.
Develop, implement, and maintain the pharmacy’s Quality Management System.
Ensure compliance with applicable requirements, including USP <795>, USP <797>, USP <800> when applicable, Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements, and relevant 503A compounding standards.
Oversee deviations, nonconformances, CAPAs, change controls, complaints, recalls, and internal audits.
Review and approve SOPs, controlled forms, policies, master formulation records, and quality documents.
Ensure compounding and batch records are complete, accurate, and properly reviewed before release.
Oversee quarantine, approval, rejection, and release controls for components and compounded preparations.
Review environmental monitoring, personnel monitoring, sterility, endotoxin, potency, and other laboratory results as applicable.
Coordinate investigations related to environmental excursions, testing failures, documentation errors, and process deviations.
Oversee training, qualification, and competency records for pharmacy personnel.

Experience

Proven experience in a Quality Management role within manufacturing environments, preferably in regulated industries such as medical devices or pharmaceuticals.
Strong knowledge of FDA regulations, USP Chapters, CGMP standards.
Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits and implementing robust quality systems.
Hands-on experience with quality inspection techniques, QA/QC processes, and manufacturing workflows.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead multiple initiatives simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong analysis skills for interpreting complex data sets and driving informed decision-making.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and present findings clearly at all organizational levels.

Pay: $89,000.00 - $108,000.00 per year
