Clearance: DOE Q-level clearance to start
Must work onsite (no remote or hybrid schedules considered)

Software Test Engineer

We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to support the testing and validation of mission-critical software systems in a secure, high-performance environment. This role will focus on developing automated test solutions, validating system functionality, and collaborating with engineering teams to ensure software quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automated and manual software test plans and test cases.
Build and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts.
Validate software against functional and system requirements.
Identify, document, and troubleshoot software defects while tracking test progress and results.
Partner with software developers and cross-functional teams to improve product quality and test coverage.
Recommend and implement testing tools, processes, and best practices.
Participate in software development, risk assessment, and quality assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills

Experience designing, developing, and executing software test plans and automated testing solutions.
Programming experience with Python.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with software development and engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation.
Familiarity with Docker, cloud technologies, and Linux/UNIX environments.
Knowledge of Bash scripting and Agile development methodologies.
Experience working with large-scale enterprise applications or complex codebases.
