Full Job Description

IMMIGRATION LAW FIRM IS SEEKING A PARALEGAL CASE MANAGER WITH MORE THAN 5 YEARS EXPERIENCE

Overview:

Duties will include assisting the attorneys with various tasks including filing, making copies, calendaring appointments, preparing forms, assisting clients, and in general provide help preparing legal documents. Work Hours are full-time: Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Fill out immigration forms (family based, immigration court, U-visa, VAWA, and more)
Handle high call volume of both existing clients and past clients.
Ensure clients receive best customer service experience.
Strong oral and written skills to effectively communicate with clients, witnesses, law enforcement, attorneys, and other professionals.
Meet with clients to gather documents as needed.
Prepare clients for hearings, CIS appointments, or consular appointments.
Research facts and law of the case, gather and analyze relevant information for the case, and report findings to the attorney.
Perform administrative duties such as enter important cases notes, calendar hearings/CIS interviews, maintain client folders, filing, and enter mail.
Complete various tasks assigned by upper management.
Handle a heavy number of cases.

Requirements:

Bilingual (Spanish and English) –Read/ Write/ Speak is required.
MUST have good interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively with people of different cultures.
MUST be proficient with Microsoft Word.
Proficient with Internet usage (i.e., able to research on-line).
MUST have excellent writing and proofreading skills.
Ability to multitask and work independently.
Organized and high level attention to detail.
Hardworking, reliable, and trustworthy.
Great attitude and team work mentality.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
