Full Job Description

Brann & Isaacson is hiring an Operations Support Assistant for its Lewiston office primarily to provide general accounting and operations support to the Firm Administrator.

Responsibilities vary but generally include:

Accounting - entering accounts payable invoices after reviewing for approvals, posting to billing accounts, scanning and saving invoices; reconciling vendor statements and resolving discrepancies, responding to vendor inquiries and internal payment related questions in a timely and professional manner; act as back-up for processing client payments as needed.

Operations - assist the Firm Administrator with projects and day-to-day operations, including assistance with process evaluation and the implementation of improvements to efficiency and compliance; organize requests for contributions and advertising; and other tasks as assigned.

Applicants must have a can-do attitude, strong administrative and accounting skills in accounts payable and payment processing. Additional skills include:

Strong technical aptitude including proficiency in Word/Outlook/Adobe Acrobat/Excel and accounting software including an interest in problem-solving and resolving software issues.
Knowledge of general office policies and procedures including the use of office equipment, such as printers, copiers, faxes, label makers, etc.
Excellent writing, people, and communication skills.
A high level of attention to detail and a high quality work product.
The ability to work collaboratively and interact positively with clients, vendors attorneys and co-workers.
A high level of professionalism, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong problem solving and multi-tasking skills, including the ability to organize and prioritize tasks to complete them under time constraints.
The ability to learn quickly and be self-directed.
Proofreading skills to review materials for contextual grammatical, typographical and spelling errors.

This is a 30 hour per week in-office position with excellent benefits. Hours are 10 AM to 5 PM with an hour for lunch. Benefits include health, dental, vision, life, disability, 401K Profit Sharing Plan, and paid holidays, sick, EPL and vacation time.
