We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Legal Assistant/Office Manager to join our vibrant legal team. You will play a crucial role in streamlining office functions, assisting with legal research and document management, and ensuring smooth communication across all levels of the firm. Delaney & Fritz, P.C., based in Indiana, Pennsylvania, is a full-service law firm serving clients across western Pennsylvania. The firm specializes in various practice areas, including real estate transactions, estate planning and administration, municipal law, civil litigation, business formation, criminal defense, and oil and gas law. Supported by its advanced, in-house title research capabilities and subsidiary, Attorneys Land, Abstract and Settlement, Delaney & Fritz offers a comprehensive legal experience tailored to meet client needs.

Role Description

The Legal Assistant role at Delaney & Fritz, P.C. is a full-time, on-site position located in Indiana, PA. The Legal Assistant will provide critical support to the attorneys by preparing legal documents, preparing calculations, documents and files for real estate closings, organizing case files, conducting client communications, and managing administrative tasks, including decedents estates. Responsibilities include accounting, invoicing and paying bills, scheduling appointments, managing calendars, reception of clients, ordering supplies, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring the seamless operation of daily legal functions.

Qualifications

Strong understanding of legal principles, with experience in Law and Legal Document Preparation.
Excellent Communication skills, including client interaction and coordination with staff.
Proficiency in Administrative Assistance, including scheduling, organization, and maintaining case files.
Strong time management skills.
Proficiency with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office

Education and Experience

Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies or related field preferred
Prior experience with Estate Administration and Real Estate Transactions strongly preferred
Prior office accounting experience required
Prior law firm experience required
PA Notary license preferred
Familiarity with Clio or similar law office management software a plus
Familiarity with Qualia or similar real estate settlement software a plus
