Schedule: Full-time with variable hours based on projects, filming schedules, hunting seasons and property needs. Some early mornings, evenings and weekends will be required.
Position Overview
We are hiring a full-time Outdoor Property & Equipment Manager to oversee the preparation, maintenance and execution of outdoor projects, property work and video production activities.
This is not a traditional office position. It is a hands-on role for someone who understands equipment, property maintenance, land management and outdoor recreation—and who knows how to make things happen without needing constant direction.
The primary objective is simple:
Keep our properties, equipment and outdoor projects ready to operate at all times so the owner can arrive, film or participate in the activity, and leave without managing the preparation, logistics or cleanup.
One day may involve preparing a tractor and planter for a food-plot video. Another may involve scouting for a hunting trip, getting a boat ready for a fishing video, coordinating a cabin repair, mowing a property or hauling a skid steer to a project site.
The right person will be resourceful, mechanically inclined, organized and comfortable owning a project from beginning to end.
What Success Looks Like
You will be responsible for making sure projects and outdoor activities are properly researched, prepared, executed and cleaned up afterward.
For example, if we are filming a catfishing video, you may be responsible for:
- Researching current fishing conditions
- Contacting local bait shops or knowledgeable anglers
- Purchasing and organizing bait and tackle
- Preparing fishing lines and equipment
- Fueling and inspecting the boat
- Confirming batteries, electronics, tires and trailer lights are operational
- Transporting or staging the boat
- Supporting the activity in the field
- Cleaning, refueling and resetting everything afterward
If we are filming a land-management project, you may be responsible for:
- Determining what equipment and materials are needed
- Preparing the tractor, planter, sprayer or skid steer
- Purchasing seed, fertilizer, herbicide or other supplies
- Loading and safely transporting equipment
- Completing or assisting with the work
- Cleaning and servicing the equipment afterward
- Making sure everything is ready for the next project
The goal of this position is to eliminate unnecessary downtime, logistical problems and last-minute surprises.
Primary Responsibilities

- Operate compact tractors, skid steers, mini excavators, utility vehicles and similar equipment
- Operate attachments such as bush hogs, tillers, planters, seeders, sprayers, buckets and grapples

- Troubleshoot common problems with lawnmowers, small engines, trailers, boats and equipment
- Complete light repairs when appropriate
- Coordinate professional repairs when work exceeds your capabilities
- Transport equipment to dealerships or repair facilities when necessary
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, fluids, parts, straps, chains and commonly needed supplies
You are not expected to be a master mechanic. You are expected to recognize problems, perform basic troubleshooting and take ownership of getting the equipment operational again.

- Prepare boats, trailers, electronics, batteries and tackle
- Obtain bait, fuel, ice and other supplies
- Clean and reset equipment after activities
- Assist with field logistics before, during and after filming
Previous hunting or fishing experience is strongly preferred but not required. The ability to learn quickly and execute correctly is more important than already knowing every species or technique.
Project and Contractor Coordination
- Assist with cabin construction, remodeling and property-improvement projects
- Perform basic carpentry, framing, drywall, plumbing or electrical tasks within your abilities
- Identify when a licensed contractor or specialist is needed
- Contact contractors, gather bids, schedule work and oversee project completion
- Coordinate electricians, plumbers, excavators, exterminators, mechanics and other service providers
- Verify that work is completed properly
- Track outstanding repairs and property issues through completion
This person does not need to be an expert tradesperson. However, you should understand basic construction and repair concepts well enough to communicate with contractors, evaluate the situation and move the project forward.
YouTube Project Preparation
- Prepare locations, equipment and supplies for outdoor YouTube videos
- Research unfamiliar projects and create an execution plan
- Anticipate problems before filming begins
- Stage equipment so filming can begin immediately
- Support projects in the field as needed
- Handle teardown, cleanup and equipment reset after filming
- Maintain a ready-to-go system for frequently used filming equipment and outdoor gear

- Standing, walking, kneeling and bending for extended periods
- Working around machinery, animals, watercraft, tools and outdoor hazards
- Occasional early-morning, evening and weekend work

- Properties are maintained
- Problems are anticipated and resolved
- Contractors are coordinated

By handling the research, preparation, equipment, transportation, execution and cleanup, this position should allow us to produce an additional two to three YouTube videos per month while also keeping multiple properties and projects in excellent condition.
The right person will have significant responsibility, autonomy and variety in their work.
Equipment and Resources
The company provides the primary trucks, trailers, tractors, equipment, tools and project materials needed for the position.
