Full Job Description

Jet-Care® is a laboratory specializing in providing oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid and debris analysis services to international oil companies, engine manufacturers and operators of aircraft, ships and industrial machines for over 40 years. We are an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory providing a superior service to our customers. We are looking for a candidate with excellent analytical skills, a willingness to learn and someone who is able to think independently to join our laboratory department.

Our dynamic team is seeking a motivated, well-rounded individual who with training will be able to be an asset to our lab.

Our ideal candidate will

 Prepare samples for evaluation requiring:

o Physical manual dexterity to unscrew jars and pour

o Handling a high volume of samples

 Manipulate data on the computers and operate laboratory equipment as appropriate

 Work with various chemicals associated with each test

o Including hazardous chemicals

 Handle waste disposal

o including hazardous chemicals

 Meet physical requirements needed to use a respirator

o i.e. lung capacity and sense of smell

 Read and understand the standard operating procedure (SOP)

 Read and understand the material safety data sheets (MSDS)

 Comply with all safety procedures and company policies

 Stand for long periods of time while performing tests

 Experience with the following equipment is a plus:

o Karl Fischer Water Automated Titration Equip for TAN/ TBN, Cannon automated

Viscosity, PQ

 Maintain a professional attitude and work as a part of the team

Requirements:

 Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and analytical skills

 Able to work under pressure, multitask, as well as meet deadlines

 Strong work ethic, be dependable and reliable

 Maintain a neat and professional appearance

Experience & Education

 College level science/chemistry courses

 1 year experience in a testing laboratory, petrochemical testing field preferred

 Understanding and use of SOP’s and good laboratory practices

 SEM operation is a plus

 Proficient in relevant computer applications such as MS Office

 Knowledge of correct spelling, grammar and punctuation

This is a full time position; hours are 9:30 - 6:00. We provide complete training and a lucrative benefits package upon completion of the probationary period.
