As we continue to grow, we are looking for a driven Business Development Manager to expand our client base and strengthen existing relationships.
Position Overview
This role is ideal for a sales professional who understands both relationship building and technical solution selling. You will be responsible for generating new business, managing key accounts, and working closely with our technical team to deliver customized IT and security solutions.
You won’t be on an island—our team supports quoting, engineering, and project delivery. Your focus is on closing deals, growing accounts, and driving revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in:
- Commercial IT services (MSP)
- Access control, CCTV, and intrusion systems
- Structured cabling and low-voltage infrastructure
- Develop relationships with:
- Property managers
- General contractors
- Facility managers
- Government and enterprise clients
- Manage the full sales cycle:
- Prospecting and lead generation
- Site walks and client consultations
- Proposal development (with internal support)
- Closing and contract negotiation
- Maintain and grow existing client accounts
- Coordinate with engineering and operations teams to ensure successful project delivery
- Track pipeline activity and maintain CRM updates
- Attend networking events, industry meetups, and client meetings
Qualifications
Required:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience (technology, construction, or security preferred)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to understand and sell technical solutions
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
- Experience selling IT services, electronic security, structured cabling
Preferred:
- Existing relationships in the DC Metro / Northern Virginia market
- Experience working with general contractors or property management firms
- Experience selling MSP, CCTV, ACS, intrusion, low voltage, RFPs, and government contracts
