Job Title: Data Integration Architect / Data Modeler
Job Type: Full-time / Contract
Location: Remote, U.S. / Eastern Time availability required
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Start Date: On or around September 1, 2026
Position Status: Contingent upon contract award

About the Role

We are seeking a Data Integration Architect / Data Modeler to support a federal healthcare modernization program involving data architecture, data modeling, ETL/ELT, reporting layers, dashboards, business rules, system context diagrams, and secure data integration.

The ideal candidate has experience integrating healthcare data across legacy and modern platforms, supporting claims or eligibility environments, developing data models, and designing secure data flows involving PII/PHI. Experience with VA, VHA, CMS, DHA, HHS, payer/provider systems, claims systems, or federal cloud environments is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Design and document data integration approaches for federal healthcare modernization systems.
Develop data architecture diagrams, data models, system context diagrams, interface diagrams, and data flow documentation.
Support ETL/ELT planning, data mapping, data migration, semantic layer design, and reporting architecture.
Work with business and technical teams to translate business rules into data requirements.
Support integration of healthcare claims, eligibility, enrollment, beneficiary, CRM, financial, provider, and reporting data sources.
Support dashboards, reports, analytics layers, and business performance metrics.
Ensure data solutions account for PII, PHI, HIPAA, FISMA, NIST 800-53, VA Handbook 6500, and federal security requirements.
Collaborate with developers, business analysts, test leads, EDI SMEs, and program leadership.
Support defect analysis, data quality review, issue resolution, and implementation readiness.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in data architecture, data integration, or data modeling.
Experience with ETL/ELT, data migration, data mapping, or data pipelines.
Experience developing data models, architecture diagrams, system context diagrams, or data flow diagrams.
Experience supporting reporting layers, dashboards, analytics, or semantic layer development.
Experience working with sensitive data, including PII, PHI, HIPAA-protected, or regulated healthcare data.
Familiarity with federal security frameworks such as FISMA, NIST 800-53, or equivalent controls.
Experience with SQL and modern data platforms.
Ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior VA, VHA, IVC, CMS, DHA, HHS, TRICARE, Medicaid/Medicare, or federal healthcare experience.
Experience with claims adjudication, eligibility, benefits, enrollment, payer/provider, or beneficiary data.
Experience with AWS, Azure, VA Enterprise Cloud, or federal cloud environments.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or other data visualization tools.
Experience with Pega, CRM systems, ServiceNow, Jira, SharePoint, or healthcare data repositories.
AWS, Azure, Security+, or data architecture certifications.

Pay: $58.85 - $70.87 per hour
