Full Job Description

Advanced Semiconductor Mechanical Engineer needed for a 12-month contract to hire opportunity with Yoh’s client located in Santa Clara, California.

Pay Rate: $100- $120 per hour

Shifts Available: Shift: 8-5 (8Hr Day shift)

What You Will Be Doing:

Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in hardware/mechanism design and development of vacuum systems, vacuum chambers, vacuum isolation technologies, and support equipment.
Capable of executing full range of design activity from concept generation, 3D CAD design using Unigraphics NX & TCE software, OEM component selection and/or specification development and documentation of Build-to-Print components and assemblies using PMI/MBD.
Preferred experience in the semiconductor manufacturing capital equipment space with knowledge of semiconductor fabrication physics, processes, & materials.
Works independently, receives guidance in only moderately complex situations.
Interpret sub-system level functional requirements to define, design, & develop cost effective hardware solutions
Execute significantly complex design projects having a substantial mix of electrical, mechanical, physics, control systems, and software design, which are leading edge of system functionality or technology
Interface with multiple design and manufacturing engineering disciplines to specify, design, develop and commercialize semiconductor manufacturing capital equipment.
Concept generation, detailed design and documentation and/or specification development and documentation of Build-to-Print components and assemblies using Unigraphics NX & TCE software
Work with OEM suppliers to specify, develop, & document components required for hardware functionality.

What You Need to Bring to the Table: (Functional Knowledge & Skills: )

Strong Mechanical experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to convey complex information

Bonus Points! Otherwise Known As Preferred Qualifications: Understands various board level communication standards such as SPI and I2C

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 7 years of direct experience
Office work space collaborating with engineering colleagues
