About the Role:
We are looking for someone who is passionate and experienced in building and shipping production-quality mobile applications that are seamless and easy for users all around the globe.

This individual will own the Sequence Web3 Wallet mobile app for both iOS and Android by architecting and building significant new features in the mobile app. If you don't have blockchain experience, there's no need to fear! Our Sequence.js stack--which is open source--has been hand-crafted by our expert team to make it easy for you to build a beautiful front-end experience. We have a wonderful team and strong collaborative culture, so we'll ramp you up to build the best wallet in the world.

You will get the opportunity to not only create intuitive, robust and reusable user interfaces using modern frameworks, but you also get to work alongside world class experts in blockchain and open-source technology while doing it.

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the design, product and engineering teams to ensure we ship quickly and iterate on high-quality features
Design robust and sound architectural foundations, so that future engineers can build on your work with ease and speed
Build secure and scalable systems for the Sequence mobile app
Write clean, well-documented, and well tested code using best practices for React Native development
Help make Sequence Wallet the best possible application it can be

Requirements:

5+ years professional experience in quality software development
4+ years experience with React Native on the Android and iOS platforms
Emphasis on creating secure mobile apps that perform at scale
A passion for shipping applications that users love
Experienced with continuous software integration and deployment
Experienced developing and deploying frontend, web APIs, databases, and backend systems
Ability to take extreme ownership for your work
Ability to work through difficult React Native issues and contribute to libraries as needed
Rigorous eye for detail
Collaborative and open-minded
A passion for software development and a commitment to continued learning and growth
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Nice to Have:

Comfortable working with and guiding intermediate and junior engineers
Experience writing native iOS and/or Android apps, for the times when going under the hood is necessary with React Native
Knowledge and passion for Web3, Ethereum and blockchain
Contributed to open source projects
