About the Role: $14.00/Hour + Tips

The Bistro Server/Cook plays a vital dual role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by combining attentive service with quality food preparation. This position requires balancing front-of-house responsibilities, such as greeting guests and taking orders, with back-of-house duties including cooking and plating dishes to bistro standards. The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. They will contribute to a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with customers and responding to their needs promptly and courteously. Ultimately, this role is essential in driving customer satisfaction and repeat business through excellent service and delicious food.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role, as a server or cook, preferred but not required.
Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal culinary training or certification.
Experience working in a bistro or casual dining setting.
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.

Responsibilities:

Greet guests promptly, providing answers to questions about menu items and specials.
Take accurate food and beverage orders.
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and courteous manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, kitchen, and service stations.
Handle customer inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally and efficiently.
Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
