Full Job Description

Do you want to be a part of a growing hospitality group in Downtown Montgomery with creative freedom and growth opportunity? VINTAGE HOSPITALITY GROUP is searching for talented, servers to expand our team with enthusiasm and integrity, and build an elevated program to compliment our twist on Southern cuisine while providing a unique, intentional guest experience.

Vintage Year by VINTAGE HOSPITALITY GROUP is located in historic Cloverdale in Montgomery, Alabama and focuses on upscale Southern fare with flare. We kindly ask that applicants have:

Minimum ONE YEAR Fine Dining Serving experience
A positive, respectful attitude with a teachable demeanor
The integrity to be punctual
Excellent verbal communication skills
Availability to work shifts, extended hours, over weekends and holidays
A willingness to try new, unfamiliar food and beverage offerings (in order to better articulate to the guests)

Additionally, the responsibilities of a server will include but are not limited to:

Maintains complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, non-alcoholic selections, daily special products and services available in the assigned venue
Ensures the physical condition of the premises are maintained in a safe, healthy manner
Performing opening and side work duties such as setting tables, polishing glasses, folding napkins, and replenishing condiments
Attending pre-shift and general meetings to update knowledge of special offers and stock-related issues, and to discuss service and product matters
Performing closing duties such as sweeping, polishing and rolling silverware, and preparing linens for collection by laundry service
Anticipates guests’ needs, responding promptly and acknowledging guests even when on the floor
Checking identification of guests to ensure guests are of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages (additionally, refusal to serve beverages in a polite manner to guests who are not of legal age or do not possess proper/valid identification)
Integrity to maintain a clean, presentable uniform
Ensuring beverages are served swiftly and replenished continuously
Willingness and ability to lift and carry 20lbs continuously throughout the day
A genuine willingness to go above-and-beyond to provide a guest with a memorable, thoughtful dining experience
