We are currently seeking a full-time SLIP SHEET Forklift operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will drive our day-to-day operations in a safe and efficient manner. Attention to detail, accuracy, reliability, and excellent organizational skills are important qualifications for this position. As a strong communicator and self-starter, you will make it your mission to deliver safe and efficient operational excellence.
About the Role
As a Slip Sheet forklift operator, you will routinely devan and load trailers on slip sheets. This role requires Slip Sheet Forklift experience and proven skills that will be focused on zero damage while maintaining efficient operations in a high paced transloading environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- MUST HAVE 3 YEARS OR MORE OF SLIP SHEET EXPERIENCE
- Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
- Must be on time for work every day
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Ability to be a team player and able to work within a diverse work environment
- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors) Able to work within a diverse work environment
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Must be punctual and have a good attendance record
- Performs work independently with minimal supervision
- Possesses a high degree of initiative
- Demonstrates a high level of accuracy, even under pressure
- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work using health and safety methods
- Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices
Responsibilities:
- Safe and Efficient slip sheet operations with a goal of zero damage
- Perform warehouse function of primarily operating a riding forklift for transloading of containers.
- Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Responsibly deal with day-to-day paperwork in a warehouse environment (i.e. picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.)
- Performing duties within performance measurement guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned.
