RVLock is seeking a highly organized, technically capable, and solutions-oriented Manger of Connected Products to oversee our growing ecosystem of connected devices, mobile applications, cloud services, firmware, and IoT infrastructure.
This role will serve as the operational owner of RVLock’s connected platform and will coordinate across hardware, firmware, software, cloud systems, customer support, and international development partners to ensure a reliable customer experience and successful product scalability.
This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that combines technical operations, product coordination, vendor management, release management, and customer escalation oversight.
Responsibilities
Connected Platform Ownership
- Serve as the operational owner of RVLock’s connected product ecosystem
- Ensure reliable operation of cloud services, mobile applications, firmware, and connected devices
- Monitor platform reliability, uptime, scalability, and customer experience
- Coordinate with product development, marketing and customer service for improvements across hardware, firmware, software, and cloud systems
Cloud & Application Management
- Coordinate cloud infrastructure management with contracted development partners
- Monitor API performance, databases, backups, and system health
- Coordinate iOS and Android app releases
- Prioritize bug fixes, feature enhancements, and release readiness
- Manage App Store and Google Play submissions and feedback monitoring
Device Fleet & Firmware Management
- Monitor deployed gateways, locks, cameras, sensors, and connected devices
- Track connectivity, reliability, and recurring field issues
- Coordinate OTA firmware deployments, testing, rollback procedures, and release validation
- Manage beta testing and deployment verification processes
Technical Escalation & Support
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex connected-product issues
- Work closely with Technical Support, Product Development, and Engineering teams
- Analyze logs, diagnostics, and system data to identify root causes
- Coordinate corrective actions with development partners and vendors
Vendor & Product Coordination
- Act as RVLock’s primary technical liaison with firmware, cloud, app, and hardware development partners
- Coordinate schedules, deliverables, issue resolution, and development priorities
- Participate in roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and product improvement initiatives
Security & Risk Management
- Coordinate security assessments and vulnerability monitoring
- Oversee authentication, encryption, certificates, and incident response readiness
- Help ensure platform reliability and long-term scalability
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain release documentation, troubleshooting procedures, setup guides, and internal knowledge bases
- Track KPIs including uptime, active devices, subscriptions, return rates, and customer trends
- Provide ongoing reporting and recommendations to leadership
Qualifications
- Experience managing connected products, IoT platforms, SaaS systems, mobile apps, or technical operations
- Strong troubleshooting and systems-thinking abilities
- Experience coordinating cross-functional technical teams and outside vendors
- Familiarity with cloud systems, firmware releases, mobile applications, APIs, and connected devices
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and remain calm under pressure
- Experience with hardware/software integration preferred
- Experience working with overseas development teams strongly preferred
Work Environment & Expectations
This role will work closely with international development and manufacturing partners, including teams in China. Because of this, some non-traditional work hours will be required to accommodate time zone coordination, product launches, troubleshooting, and urgent technical escalations.
This is not a traditional 9–5 operational role. We are looking for someone who is proactive, responsive, adaptable, and excited about helping build and scale a rapidly growing connected product ecosystem.
Compensation
- Competitive salary based on experience

Pay: $62,699.25 - $75,508.77 per year
