Qualifications:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in information technology supports, systems administration, network administration, endpoint management, cybersecurity supports or a closely related technology field preferred.
Experience with computer hardware, operating systems, enterprise software, local area networks, wireless networks, servers, virtualization, backups, endpoint management and cybersecurity tools preferred.
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCO, VMware, Veeam, enterprise endpoint management, network switching, wireless systems, firewalls and related infrastructure preferred.
Experience with Tanium or similar endpoint management, software deployment, patch management, inventory or vulnerability management tools preferred.
Industry certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, VMware, Google, Aruba, Ruckus or equivalent certifications are strongly preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license required. Must be able to reliably travel between District sites as needed.
Any equivalent combination of experience, training, certifications, and/or education that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
Job Goals:
To provide advanced technical support, systems administration, network administration, cybersecurity support, endpoint management and infrastructure assistance for the District Technology Department.
This positions serves as a trusted technical resource within the Technology Department and assists the Director of Technology with the administration, maintenance, security, documentation and support of District technology systems.
The positions is expected to perform higher-level technical duties, assist with escalated support issues, support District office users, and help reduce the administrative and infrastructure workload.
Performance Responsibilities:
1. Provides advanced technical support to District users, with emphasis on District Office support, escalated support requests, administrative staff support, and issues requiring higher-level troubleshooting.
2. Serves as an escalation resource for Technology Department staff when technical issues require advanced troubleshooting, administrative access, or infrastructure-level knowledge.
3. Assists the Director of Technology with the administration, maintenance, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of District servers, network systems, endpoint systems, backup systems, and cybersecurity tools.
4. Administers and supports endpoint management systems, including Tanium deployments, software deployment, patch management, inventory, endpoint configuration, reporting, and remediation tasks.
5. Assists with cybersecurity operations, including endpoint security, vulnerability remediation, system patching, account security, access control, security monitoring, incident response support, and implementation of District security procedures.
6. Assists with the administration of VMware virtualization infrastructure, including virtual machines, host systems, storage-related configuration, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and documentation.
7. Assists with the administration, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting of Veeam backup systems and related backup and recovery procedures.
8. Assists with Windows Server administration, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, print services, certificates, permissions, security groups, and related District infrastructure.
9. Assists with network administration and troubleshooting, including switches, VLANs, wireless networks, firewall-related troubleshooting, network connectivity, network closets, cabling coordination, and documentation.
10. Assists with configuration and maintenance of District wireless systems, network switches, firewall-related settings, routing-related issues, DHCP scopes, DNS records, and related infrastructure as assigned.
11. Maintains accurate system documentation, including network diagrams, configuration notes, server documentation, backup records, endpoint management procedures, inventory records, and change documentation.
12. Performs account administration and access management tasks in accordance with District procedures, including user accounts, permissions, group membership, device assignment, and administrative access controls.
13. Provides technical support for District Office computers, printers, software, phones, audio-visual equipment, conference room technology, and other technology systems.
14. Assists with technology projects, including server upgrades, endpoint deployments, network improvements, cybersecurity initiatives, wireless improvements, device refreshes, software rollouts, and infrastructure maintenance.
15. Tests, evaluates, recommends, installs, configures, and maintains hardware, software, and technology systems to meet District needs.
16. Provides technical guidance, direction, and informal training to Technology Department staff as needed. This position may relay technical information, assist with task coordination, and act as a technical point of contact in the absence of the Director of Technology, but does not serve as the formal supervisor of Technology Department staff.
17. Maintains an accurate work order history, including troubleshooting steps, corrective actions, preventative maintenance, configuration changes, and completed tasks.
18. Maintains confidentiality of student, staff, system, network, and security information.
19. Follows District technology standards, cybersecurity procedures, documentation practices, change-management expectations, and administrative access procedures.
20. Travels between District sites as needed to perform technology support, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and project work.
21. Assists with audio-visual systems, electronic systems, classroom technology, computer systems, and other District technology equipment as needed.
22. Performs preventative maintenance and monitoring of assigned technology systems to maintain high standards of reliability, security, and availability.
23. May be required to respond to urgent technology issues, outages, maintenance needs, or scheduled projects outside normal work hours as directed.
24. Performs any other school or District work dealing with technology as assigned by the Director of Technology, Superintendent, or designee.
25. Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems involving computers, servers, accounts, software, printers, networks, wireless systems, backups, virtualization, and cybersecurity tools.
Knowledge of Windows operating systems, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file permissions, print services, and related administrative functions.
Knowledge of networking concepts, including IP addressing, VLANs, switching, wireless networking, routing concepts, firewall concepts, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
Knowledge of virtualization and backup concepts, including virtual machines, host systems, backup jobs, restore testing, and recovery procedures.
Knowledge of endpoint management concepts, including software deployment, patch management, inventory, device configuration, reporting, and vulnerability remediation.
Ability to use administrative access responsibly and in accordance with District procedures and security expectations.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, manage multiple work orders, and respond
appropriately to urgent technology needs.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with technical and non-technical users.
Ability to provide technical guidance to other Technology Department staff without serving as their formal supervisor.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise sound judgment, and follow security best practices.
Ability to learn new systems, tools, procedures, and technologies as District needs change.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
May be required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, crawl under desks, and work in classrooms, offices, server rooms, network closets, and other District facilities.
May be required to lift, carry, move, install, or transport technology equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
May be required to use hand tools, cabling equipment, computers, printers, network equipment, audio-visual equipment, and other technology equipment.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Work is performed primarily at District sites, including offices, classrooms, server rooms, network closets, and other District facilities.
This position requires reliable travel between District locations.
This position may require occasional work outside normal business hours for maintenance windows, outages, emergencies, or scheduled technology projects.
