Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Designer/Project Manager to spearhead innovative design for projects in the structural and civil construction industry. This role combines creative leadership with strategic project management, ensuring that each project meets client expectations, meets design criteria, and accurately represents the scope of work projected. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for construction design, technical proficiency in industry-standard software, and a proven track record of managing projects in the construction industry. Duties

Lead the development of comprehensive design concepts utilizing tools such as SketchUp, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, or AutoCAD to create detailed visualizations and technical drawings.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with clients, contractors, and vendors to define project scope, specifications, and contractual agreements while maintaining clear communication throughout the process.
Oversee phases of project execution including drafting, material selection, and construction oversight to ensure adherence to design intent and quality standards.
Prepare detailed proposals, contracts, and change orders using digital tools
Mine leads using lead generation websites with search engine tools to dial in well qualified projects

Skills

Proficiency in a design tool such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator), Bluebeam for PDF management.
Construction experience with knowledge in reading plans and blueprints
Ability to draft detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction projects
Excellent communication skills for managing expectations with the sales team
Knowledge of CAD software for precise drafting; familiarity with 3D modeling tools such as 3ds Max or similar is advantageous.
