Summer Internship Program

For upper-division undergraduates seeking practical experience in synthetic biology and software development. Join our team for a summer of hands-on work in biotech innovation, microfluidics, and computational biology.

What You'll Do

Work on a defined project in synthetic biology, bioinformatics, lab automation, or software development
Collaborate with your mentor and team members to achieve project milestones
Learn and apply industry tools and workflows for biological R&D
Participate in team meetings, demos, and cross-functional learning sessions
Present your project outcomes to the team at the end of the internship
Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing

What We're Looking For

Currently enrolled as a junior or senior undergraduate in biology, bioinformatics, computer science, chemical engineering, or a related field
Available for a 10–12 week summer commitment
Basic programming skills (Python, R, or JavaScript)
Strong curiosity about biotechnology, computational biology, or scientific software
Good communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently with guidance from a mentor

Nice to Have

Lab experience in molecular biology, microbiology, or biochemistry
Coursework in bioinformatics, data science, or machine learning
Experience with web development or data visualization
Familiarity with DNA design, cloning, or protein engineering concepts
