Full Job Description

La Academia Partnership Charter School is seeking a passionate, student-centered High School Math Teacher to join our mission-driven school community in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Serving approximately 200 students, in classes of 15-16 students, we offer the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a close-knit environment where strong relationships, individualized support, and high expectations drive student success. We welcome collaborative educators who are eager to inspire learners, contribute to a positive school culture, and grow as part of a dedicated team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging math instruction that supports active learning and meets the needs of all students.
Maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth.
Set clear learning goals, monitor student progress, and adjust instruction based on data.
Assign and assess classwork, homework, and assessments in a timely manner.
Provide regular, constructive feedback to students and families.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the school community to support student success.
Develop and adapt instructional materials to differentiate learning.
Use technology effectively to enhance and personalize instruction, including digital learning platforms as needed.
Maintain accurate records and fulfill reporting requirements in accordance with school and legal expectations.
Participate in meetings, professional development, school duties, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Mathematics 7-12, appropriate PDE certification, or eligibility to obtain certification.
Knowledge of Pennsylvania academic standards and effective instructional practices for secondary mathematics.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues in a diverse school community.
Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to differentiate instruction, use student data to inform teaching, and support academic growth for all learners.
Comfort using educational technology and digital learning platforms to enhance instruction.
Required clearances for employment in a Pennsylvania school setting, including Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Record Check, Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, and FBI Fingerprint Clearance.
Commitment to collaboration, equity, continuous professional growth, and the mission of a public charter school.
