Full Job Description

Wi-Fiber is seeking an IT Lead to help us standardize our internal IT systems and manage the IT services we offer to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and ready to take on a leadership role in a growing company.

Responsibilities:

IT Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain multiple Linux and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
Virtualization: Oversee and maintain our hypervisor environment using Proxmox and KVM, ensuring smooth operation of virtualized systems.
VoIP Systems Management: Administer and troubleshoot VoIP systems, ensuring excellent call quality and connectivity for both internal and customer-facing services.
Email Systems: Manage and support email server infrastructure, ensuring reliable service and security for users and customers.
Team Leadership: Mentor new hires and oversee growth of our budding IT team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality service delivery.
System Standardization: Work to standardize and streamline internal systems to improve efficiency and reliability across the company.
Customer IT Services: Facilitate and improve the IT services provided to customers, including troubleshooting, network support, and system installations.
Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and systems are deployed smoothly.
Network Troubleshooting: Provide support in diagnosing and resolving network and technical issues affecting customers or internal systems.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Linux Experience: Strong hands-on experience with Linux-based servers and systems administration.
Hypervisor Experience: Proficient with Proxmox and KVM, and experience managing virtual environments.
Server Experience: Experience managing both Windows and Linux server environments.
VoIP Expertise: Knowledge of VoIP systems and troubleshooting.
Email Systems: Familiarity with email server management (e.g., Exchange or similar platforms).
Leadership Skills: Proven experience leading and mentoring a technical team.
Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex IT issues quickly and efficiently.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks and projects.
Networking Basics: A basic understanding of networking concepts and protocols.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
