Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Member Services/Operations Assistant to join our team! This vital role offers an exciting opportunity to support daily office operations, enhance member experiences, and ensure smooth administrative workflows. As a key member of our organization, you will be the primary point of contact for members while maintaining efficient operations essential to the growth of the credit union.
Duties
Perform routine member transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, refunds to members, post-loan payments, transfers, G/L postings (accounting knowledge is a plus), order ATM/Debit cards, order checks for members, IRA transactions, daily credit union close out of teller drawer, vault, and branch transactions, CORP1 check transmittals, daily office functions such as filing and opening a member folder
Respond timely to member inquiries via in-person, phone call, online inquiries, or email (i.e., products, services, rates, status of member account)
Work collaboratively with individuals to open new membership through the online process or in person
Manage the process to establish the A2A service for members in a timely manner
Manage the process to address and resolve pending membership applications in a timely manner and update the Status Report
Perform approved file maintenance in a timely manner
Perform collection functions to minimize delinquency and losses
Perform “Daily Reconciliation” for Debit Card
Monitor and perform ACH Payments and Returns along with Share Draft Payments and Returns, and take appropriate action with members
Manage the Ground Rent portfolio for the credit union – contact owners, invoice owners, receive and post Ground Rent payments. Keep Ground Rent spreadsheet up to date.
Manage the process for handling “Dormant” accounts
Assist with managing collateral control to perfect liens for secured lending products
Assist with managing and monitoring automobile insurance control
Assist with managing physical files retained in the Retriever Repository
Write and/or Update policies and procedures related to job functions
Safeguard sensitive/confidential member information in accordance with credit union policies
Participate in ongoing education
Perform other duties as assigned
Reports to the VP of Lending and Operations
Experience & Education
Associate’s degree or two years of equivalent experience in a financial institution.
Employee must have the ability to be a self-starter and display a high degree of honesty, loyalty, and integrity
Have a well-rounded knowledge of credit union operations and member service experience
Demonstrate ability to provide courteous, professional service and establish member relations
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Working Knowledge of CU Base and FLEX operating systems preferred
Decision-making and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Tme management skills able to juggle multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Compensation:
TBD (Hourly Rate) based on experience and qualifications
Hours:
Monday - Friday
7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST (possible overtime)
