Are you a skilled communicator with a knack for translation—specifically, turning complex engineering specifications, drone telemetry data, and advanced geospatial software interfaces into clear, elegant, and user-friendly documentation? Do you excel at partnering directly with product developers, engineers, and marketers to build onboarding guides, troubleshooting databases, and FAQs that empower customers? As Cerebral Staffing, we are seeking a collaborative, highly detail-oriented Technical Content Specialist to join our team supporting our client, John Deere (specifically partnering with Sentera within the John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group), at their office in St. Paul, MN. If you are ready to take immediate ownership of customer education and documentation for cutting-edge drone scouting and precision agriculture technologies, we want to hear from you.

Technical Content Specialist – Sentera / John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group This is a highly collaborative, hands-on 2+ year contract opportunity paying up to $47/hr, including 2 weeks of PTO. Operating 100% onsite in St. Paul, MN on a balanced 1st shift, this role is crucial for driving product adoption, customer success, and self-service support efficiency. You will be responsible for creating, auditing, and maintaining high-quality technical documentation for Sentera’s premier drone scouting, software, and hardware portfolios—including PixelScout and FieldAgent.

Position Details & Compensation

Pay Rate: Up to $47/hr (W2).
Location: 100% Onsite at Sentera / John Deere Intelligent Solutions Group (767 N. Eustis St. Suite 120, St. Paul, MN 55114).
Duration: 2+ Years (An exceptional multi-year contract runway for professional growth).
Shift & Hours: 1st Shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday – Friday (Minimal overtime).
Dress Code: Business casual.
Benefits: 2 Weeks PTO, Health, Dental, Vision, Life, 401k, and Referral Bonuses.
Visa Sponsorship: Not available now or in the future for this position.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Documentation Development: Write, structure, and maintain user guides, training materials, FAQs, knowledge base articles, and detailed troubleshooting resources for hardware, software, and remote sensing tools.
Product Launch Support: Partner directly with launch managers to build launch-ready support content, setup documentation, and onboarding templates for new features and product lines.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, engineering, support, and marketing teams to ensure technical accuracy and brand alignment.
Support Efficiency Optimization: Design, write, and refine self-service resources that empower customers, reduce direct support inquiry volumes, and improve customer satisfaction.
Product Demonstrations & Quality Assurance: Continuously audit existing documentation, updating materials to match current product software versions and user feedback.

Required Skills & Experience

Professional Writing History: 3+ years of dedicated professional experience in technical writing, technical documentation, content development, or customer education.
Complex Technical Translation: Demonstrated ability to translate highly dense engineering concepts into simple, structured, and visually scannable documentation.
Multi-Project Management: Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight launch deadlines, and manage documentation version control.
Collaborative Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication habits with a comfort level working alongside both technical engineers and commercial marketers.
Education Foundations:
A completed Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Marketing, Business, Management, or a related field is preferred.
Candidates without a degree will be fully considered if backed by 5 or more years of applicable technical writing and content development experience.

What Makes You Stand Out

Prior background in precision agriculture, remote sensing, ag-tech, drone flight software, or geospatial data platforms.
Hands-on experience developing onboarding programs, visual diagrams, video tutorials, e-learning modules, or multimedia training assets.
Strong familiarity with customer support structures and self-service knowledge base architectures.
