Overview

Duties
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and develop comprehensive analysis strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and other reporting platforms to visualize key performance indicators and trends.
- Conduct detailed data analysis utilizing SQL, R, Python, Excel, and other analytical tools to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for process enhancements.
- Manage the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of data solutions.
- Develop robust data models and database designs using Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar platforms to support efficient querying and data storage.
- Implement ETL processes with Talend or similar tools to extract, transform, and load data from diverse sources such as SQL databases or linked data environments.
- Support project management activities within Agile frameworks by coordinating tasks, tracking progress, and ensuring timely delivery of analytics solutions.
- Perform analysis of business processes using Visio and other modeling tools to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Utilize VBA scripting, Bash (Unix shell), and other technical proficiencies to automate workflows and streamline reporting procedures.
- Engage in ongoing business intelligence initiatives by integrating new data sources like Looker or Power BI dashboards for comprehensive insights.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role with a strong focus on data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
- Proficiency in SQL databases including Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle; strong query management skills are essential.
- Hands-on experience with ETL processes using Talend or comparable tools; familiarity with linked data environments is a plus.
- Technical expertise in programming languages such as R and Python for advanced data analysis; experience with Excel data analysis is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology within Agile project management frameworks.
- Ability to design effective data models and perform database design for scalable analytics solutions.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets into clear insights; excellent business analysis capabilities are required.
- Familiarity with dashboard development and visualization techniques using Power BI or Looker; experience in dashboard development is preferred.
- Experience working with SQL query management across multiple platforms including Talend, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with technical teams and business stakeholders alike.
