Overview

We are seeking a visionary, highly skilled Lead Graphic Designer for a high-intensity 2–3 month contract to define, elevate, and solidify the visual language of the Core Impact brand.

Your mission will be to translate complex, scientific human telemetry—such as muscle-firing sequences, kinetic balance, and explosive velocity—into stunning, premium visual assets. You sit at the precise intersection of bleeding-edge hardware engineering and raw, elite athletic performance. Your designs must capture the clean, data-rich precision of a tech giant while retaining the visceral, aspirational energy of a legacy sports brand.

Duties

Pitch & Presentation Design: Redesign and elevate our core Go-To-Market and investor presentation decks, turning complex business strategies and technical specifications into executive-ready visual narratives.
Retail & Experiential Graphics: Design large-format retail display graphics, endcaps, and instructional signage to be deployed in premium, interactive retail environments.
Brand Visualization: Develop a cohesive, high-end visual asset library (icons, infographics, data visualizations) that beautifully explains how our sEMG garments and footwear sensors work.
DTC & Product Graphics: Create clean, compelling graphics for digital DTC campaigns, product mockups, and mobile UI visualizations that instantly communicate "elite performance meets cutting-edge technology."

Skills

Extensive experience in art direction, branding, and visual storytelling across digital and print media.
Proficiency in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDRAW, Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong understanding of typography design for media, layout design, color management, and print production processes.
Technical skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript for web design; experience with content management systems such as WordPress.
Expertise in motion graphics and video editing using Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Knowledge of digital art creation including photo editing, photo manipulation, and digital illustration techniques.
Familiarity with sign manufacturing processes and production design for physical displays or signage projects.
Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.

Mandatory Requirements

Essential Portfolio: A comprehensive portfolio displaying both past and present work is absolutely essential for consideration. We want to see your design evolution, your current aesthetic style, and real-world proof of your ability to execute high-end branding. Applications without a portfolio link will not be reviewed.
Local Residency: Candidates must currently reside in Sacramento County or the San Francisco Bay Area for rapid local collaboration and physical prototype reviews.

Experience Profile

We are looking for a designer with a unique, hybrid background who has successfully walked the line between the tech elite and the world’s most dominant athletic brands:

The Wearable Tech Pedigree: Proven experience designing for hardware, sensor, or wearable tech companies. Direct experience with design teams at, or agency work for, tech giants like Apple, Google, or Meta is highly desirable. You know how to make complex sensors and hardware look accessible, premium, and sleek.
The Sports Aesthetic: A deep portfolio featuring premium work for world-class sports performance brands like Nike, Under Armour, New Balance, or Jordan Brand. You know how to capture kinetic energy, movement, grit, and athletic aspiration.
Technical Mastery: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and data visualization. Experience with 3D rendering (Blender/Cinema 4D) or motion graphics is a massive advantage.
