Position Overview

Mya Kai Creative is looking for a passionate, curious, and motivated Junior Graphic Designer who is eager to grow their creative career in a collaborative agency environment.

As a Junior Graphic Designer, you'll work alongside our Creative Director, Graphic Designers, Account Managers, photographers, videographers, copywriters, and developers to create meaningful work for brands, nonprofits, educational institutions, sports organizations, municipalities, and purpose-driven companies.

This role is designed for someone with a strong design foundation, a willingness to learn, and a passion for creativity. You'll support the development of branding, digital campaigns, social media, print collateral, presentations, websites, environmental graphics, and marketing materials while continuing to build your skills and creative confidence.

Key Responsibilities

Creative Design

Assist in designing creative solutions across print, digital, social media, branding, presentations, websites, advertising campaigns, environmental graphics, and marketing materials.
Support senior designers and the Creative Director in developing visual concepts and campaign assets.
Create layouts, graphics, illustrations, and production-ready artwork.
Resize, adapt, and prepare creative assets for multiple platforms and formats.
Assist with brand identity development and visual storytelling.
Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas.

Production & Execution

Prepare production-ready files for print, digital, and web applications.
Organize project files and maintain agency design standards.
Ensure artwork is accurate, properly formatted, and ready for production.
Assist with print production, digital asset creation, website graphics, presentations, and event materials.
Help maintain creative libraries, templates, and brand assets.

Team Collaboration

Collaborate closely with Graphic Designers, Account Managers, photographers, videographers, copywriters, and developers.
Participate in project kickoffs, creative reviews, and team meetings.
Accept feedback positively and apply revisions efficiently.
Support multiple projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
Ask questions, seek mentorship, and continuously improve your craft.

Professional Growth

Stay current on design trends, typography, branding, AI tools, and emerging creative technologies.
Continue developing technical and creative skills through ongoing learning.
Build confidence presenting design ideas and explaining creative decisions.
Contribute to the agency's creative culture through curiosity, collaboration, and innovation.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (or currently completing a degree) in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
0–2 years of professional design experience, internships, or freelance work.
Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, typography, layout, branding, and visual communication.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including:
Adobe Illustrator
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe InDesign
Basic understanding of branding, digital design, and print production.
Familiarity with Figma and Canva is a plus.
Basic knowledge of WordPress or Elementor is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organization.
Excellent communication skills and willingness to collaborate.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Positive attitude with a desire to learn and grow.

Preferred Skills

Experience with any of the following is a plus:
