Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Game Tester to join our dynamic quality assurance team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the excellence of our gaming products by meticulously testing mobile and desktop applications across various platforms. Your keen eye for detail, combined with your passion for gaming and technical expertise, will help us deliver seamless, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of game development, contributing to the creation of engaging and bug-free entertainment.

Duties

Execute comprehensive test cases for mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms, including functional, system, regression, and performance testing.
Utilize test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Cucumber to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that game features meet business requirements and player expectations.
Perform API testing using RESTful services to verify data exchange between client applications and servers.
Analyze bugs and issues using debugging tools; perform root cause analysis to identify underlying problems impacting game quality.
Collaborate with developers and product managers through Agile methodologies, participating in requirements gathering, sprint planning, and release management.
Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, defect reports, and system logs using tools like Jira, HP ALM, TFS, GitHub, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
Support continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines by integrating automated tests within DevOps workflows.
Conduct performance testing using LoadRunner or similar tools to ensure optimal game performance under various conditions.
Assist in system testing across multiple operating systems including Windows, Linux, macOS, as well as mobile environments like Android and iOS.

Qualifications

Proven experience in software testing with a focus on mobile applications and game testing environments.
Strong knowledge of testing frameworks such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber (software testing tool), and scripting languages like Python or JavaScript.
Familiarity with API testing using RESTful APIs; experience with SOAP services is a plus.
Hands-on experience with version control systems such as SVN or Git (GitHub/GitLab), along with knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Maven.
Understanding of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile methodologies (Scrum), Waterfall processes, and release management practices.
Technical skills in debugging tools and troubleshooting issues related to software quality assurance across various platforms.
Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle or MongoDB for data analysis and validation purposes.
Experience with performance testing tools like LoadRunner or similar solutions; familiarity with system testing and QA/QC standards is essential.
Strong analytical skills combined with excellent attention to detail; ability to perform root cause analysis efficiently.
Effective communication skills for collaborating within cross-functional teams; ability to interpret business requirements into test cases.
