Algona is a city in King County, Washington and the Seattle metropolitan area, surrounded by the suburbs of Auburn to the north and east, Pacific to the south, and unincorporated King County to the west. The population was 2,460 at the 2000 census. In the 2004 US presidential election, Algona cast 51.41% of its vote for Democrat John Kerry.
