Ashville is a village in Pickaway County, Ohio, United States. The population was 3,174 at the 2000 census. Ashville was the birthplace of one of the biggest actors in the history of the adult film industry, John Curtis Holmes. Holmes was born as John Curtis Estes, but his mother changed his surname to Holmes when she remarried. Ashville is also home to Harold "Champ" Henson. Henson was an Ohio State Fullback. In 1972 he led the NCAA in scoring with 20 touchdowns.
