Baldwin is on the Appalachain continental divide. City hall sits in Banks County. Baldwin borders the bigger city of Cornelia, which has the Habersham Chamber of Commerce. Nearby in Demorest is Piedmont College. Also nearby is Lake Russell, a national park. The Habersham county airport is in Baldwin. Biggest employer is Fieldale, which is primarily chicken processing.
