Central Point, Oregon

Central Point is a city in Jackson County, Oregon, United States. The population was 12,493 at the 2000 census. Central Point Software was named after this community. Before moving to the Portland area, the company operated in Medford but was unable to get a post office box in there. The Central Point post office provided one sooner, and so inspired the founders to name the company after Central Point.
