Clare is a city in Webster County, Iowa, United States. The population was 190 at the 2000 census. Clare was settled around 1882 by immigrants from Clare County Ireland. Clare is also home to Saint Matthew Catholic Church. They will be celebrating their 125th anniversary in the summer of 2007.
