Columbine is an unincorporated census-designated place located mostly in Jefferson County, Colorado, with a small part in Arapahoe County, Colorado, and lying immediately west of Littleton. The population was 24,095 at the 2000 census. Columbine High School, the school made infamous in the April 20, 1999 massacre, is located in the Columbine CDP.
