Cook is a city in St. Louis County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 622 at the 2000 census. U.S. Highway 53 serves as a main arterial route in the city. The city was once known as Ashawa, but changed names at the request of the Postal Service, which was having trouble delivering mail to Oshawa, Minn.
