Guttenberg is a town in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. As of the United States 2000 Census, the town population was 10,807. Only four blocks wide, Guttenberg is one of the smallest municipalities in New Jersey. However, it is the most densely populated municipality in the United States, with over two times the density of New York City. Guttenberg was formed as a town on March 9, 1859, from portions of North Bergen Township.
