Jackson, Louisiana

Jackson is a town in East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 4,130 at the 2000 census. The Republic of West Florida Historical Museum is located there. Jackson is the birthplace of legendary African American football coach Eddie Robinson , who was affiliated with Grambling State University in Grambling in Lincoln Parish. Jackson was the location of Methodist-affiliated Centenary College from its founding in 1825 until 1908, when it relocated to Shreveport.
