Lake Orion is a village in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 2,715 at the 2000 census. Although the official population of the village is only 2,715, Orion Township's population is much larger and the terms "Lake Orion" or "the Orion area" are often used to describe both the township and the village.
