It is the second largest incorporated area on Whidbey. Although Langley's official population is 959, the number of people who claim Langley as their home is 4,878. The geographical area of Langley proper is only 2.1 km² but the whole community that is considered to be Langley is 67.86 km² . Aside from official business, the entire ZIP code community is referred to as Langley. Today, Langley is a tourist destination.
