Millbrook is a village in Dutchess County, New York, USA. The population was 1,429 at the 2000 census. It is considered one of the wealthiest towns in the State of New York and is often thought of as a rural and more low-key version of The Hamptons. The main street, Franklin Avenue, is home to many of the village's main eateries, stores, and landmarks, including the public library. Franklin Avenue intersects Front Street, where the seasonal Farmers' Market and U.S. Post Office are both located. At the end of Franklin Avenue is the Tribute Garden, a public park and playground dedicated to United States veterans. The Village of Millbrook is near the center of the Town of Washington. US Route 44 passes through the village.
