Milledgeville is a city in Baldwin County in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is the county seat of Baldwin County. It is northeast of Macon, between Eatonton and Hardwick along U.S. Highway 441 on the banks of the Oconee River. It was the capital of Georgia for some time, notably during the Civil War.
