As an unincorporated part of Clark County, it is governed by the Clark County Commission. It also contains McCarran International Airport. For many of the townships south of Las Vegas City limits the USPS assigns “Las Vegas, NV� as the last line of their address rather than “Paradise, NV�, “Winchester, NV�, Spring Valley, NV� etc. which adds to the confusion of what city or town you are in. Clark County has resisted efforts by the city of Las Vegas to annex The Strip.
