Peninsula is a village in Summit County, Ohio, United States. The population was 602 at the 2000 census. It is located in the middle of the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, providing a source of tourism to the village. Blossom Music Center is located on its outskirts. It borders Hudson, Cuyahoga Falls, and Brecksville. It is part of Boston Township. Schooling is provided by Woodridge Local School District. Commerce of the village comprises mainly of two restaurants, several art galleries and antique stores. The village tries to maintain a small town, neighborly feel, and often fights attempts to move new business in. The sidewalks on Main Street were, until recently, all quarry stone for historic purposes. Boston Mills/Brandywine Ski Resort in Peninsula is one of the few skiing locations in Ohio.
