Reinbeck resides in northeastern Iowa outside of the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area known as the Cedar Valley. Reinbeck is primarily an agricultural community that strives on the services of nearby larger cities like Cedar Falls. The Reinbeck school district is consolidated with the nearby town of Gladbrook to create the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Community School District or "G-R" as the locals refer to it. The G-R mascot is the Rebel.
