Rosedale is a city in Bolivar County, Mississippi, United States. The population was 2,414 at the 2000 census. It is the same "Rosedale" that noted bluesman Robert Johnson sang about in his Traveling Riverside Blues, a version of which was recorded in the 1960s by the group Cream as Crossroads. Locals claim the Johnson sold his soul to the Devil at the intersection of Mississippi 1 and Mississippi 8, now on the south end of the town. A number of other Delta municipalities likewise claim that the transaction took place in or near their boundaries.
